  • tl;dr version:
    - Cozy, quaint and friendly in a convenient location
    - The small kitchen and Chef Didier make you feel at home
    - Delicious food, extensive wine list, very reasonable prices
    - Reservations recommended
    ---
Located a street up from the "main drag" in little Monterey, Bistro Moulin is a cozy little place that feels like home. Chef Didier masterfully crafts in the center kitchen and happily takes you as a member of the family. Everything was delightful -- Roasted Rabbit w/Fricassee (daily special), Coque au Vin, Creme Brulee -- and reasonably priced ($16-28), and the wine list is extensive, offering items by the glass, half-and full-bottle -- as well as a delicious (official) Champagne by the glass. It should also be noted that they DO allow BYOB for a corkage fee.

Service was responsive, informative and friendly, reservations are recommended (though not required), and it is a short walk down the street from the Sardine Factory -- where you should have stuffed mushrooms before heading to your reservation at Bistro Moulin!
